This keeps your asset database up-to-date without needing any manual work from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why are Scheduled Scans Important?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Scheduling scans is crucial because it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Keeps data current:<\/strong> Ensures your hardware, software, certificate and license data is always fresh.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Detects changes:<\/strong> Automatically spots unauthorized changes across your devices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saves effort:<\/strong> Reduces manual work and makes data collection consistent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aids compliance:<\/strong> Provides regular updates essential for security and compliance audits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Supports alerts:<\/strong> Powers policy-based alerting with the very latest inventory information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up a Scheduled Scan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To schedule a scan, go to <strong>Inventory \u2192 Schedule Scan<\/strong> and fill in these details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Time Zone:<\/strong> Select the appropriate time zone.
