To apply the profile, you must associate it with one or more <strong>devices or groups<\/strong> from the <strong>Groups and Devices<\/strong> list. You can assign a profile to a single device, multiple devices, or an entire group..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Profile Association?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Profile association<\/strong> links a published Configuration Profile to specific devices. In <strong>Groups and Devices<\/strong>, the Devices list shows the number of profiles and deployment policies assigned to each device. These counts increase when a profile or deployment policy is associated with the device.A device can have multiple profiles, and the same profile can be assigned to multiple devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to Begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"503\" src=\"https:\/\/zecurit.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-6-1024x503.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zecurit.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-6-1024x503.png 1024w, https:\/\/zecurit.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-6-300x147.png 300w, https:\/\/zecurit.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-6-768x377.png 768w, https:\/\/zecurit.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-6-1536x755.png 1536w, https:\/\/zecurit.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-6-2048x1006.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to the <strong>Zecurit portal<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Endpoint Manager \u2192 Manage \u2192 Groups and Devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Select the <strong>Devices<\/strong> or <strong>Groups<\/strong> tab. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the device or groups you want to update using the <strong>Search<\/strong> icon or the selection checkboxes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>three-dot Actions<\/strong> icon for a single device, or click <strong>Actions<\/strong> at the top when multiple devices are selected. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Configuration Profile<\/strong> from the menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Configuration Profile<\/strong> you want to associate with the selected device or groups.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Only Published profiles are eligible for association. Draft profiles do not appear in the profile list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Associate Configuration Profile Window<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Selecting Configuration Profile opens a window listing every profile available for the device&#8217;s platform. Each row shows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th><strong>Column<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>Description<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Profile Name<\/td><td>The name given to the profile when it was created.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Platform<\/td><td>The operating system the profile applies to (e.g., Windows).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Created By<\/td><td>The user who created the profile.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Created Time<\/td><td>The date and time the profile was created.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Version<\/td><td>The current version number of the profile.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Devices<\/td><td>How many devices the profile is already associated with.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Associated Groups<\/td><td>How many device groups the profile is already associated with.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Profile Status<\/td><td>Whether the profile is Published and available to associate.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the checkbox next to the profile you want, then click Associate. Click Cancel to close the window without making changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying to a Single Device vs. Multiple Devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th><strong>Scenario<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>How To<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Single device<\/td><td>Click the three-dot icon on that device&#8217;s row \u2192 Configuration Profile \u2192 select the profile \u2192 Associate.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Multiple devices<\/td><td>Select the checkboxes next to each device \u2192 click Actions at the top of the list \u2192 Configuration Profile \u2192 select the profile \u2192 Associate.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The chosen profile is applied to every selected device in the same action; you do not need to repeat the steps per device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Confirming the Association<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After clicking Associate, return to the Devices tab. The Profile column for that device increases by one for each profile now associated with it.
