Report Management & Personalization

⌘K

Zecurit’s reporting capabilities are built for flexibility, automation, and efficiency. Whether you’re accessing pre-built reports, automating delivery via scheduled reports, or organizing frequently used reports through favorites, this guide covers everything you need to manage reports effectively.

Report Cleanup Policy

To ensure efficient storage and maintain compliance, Zecurit automatically deletes generated report files after a specific period:

  • Default retention: 7 days
  • Applies to:
    • Scheduled Reports
    • On-Demand (manually exported) Reports
    • User Logon Reports
    • Other downloadable report types

Once deleted, the report files cannot be recovered from the system.

If your organization requires longer retention, we recommend downloading and archiving the reports externally.

Favorites: Quick Access to Reports

Zecurit allows users to mark their most-used reports as Favorites for quicker access. This helps users save time and personalize their experience without navigating through multiple categories.

How it works:

  • You can click the ⭐ icon next to any pre-built report to mark it as a favorite.
  • Favorited reports are shown under the Favorites tab in the Reports module.
  • This is a user-specific setting, each user has their own personalized list.

Use Favorites to pin reports you monitor daily, such as license compliance or prohibited software.

Access and Roles

Below reports features are available based on the user’s access rights:

  • Favorites & View Reports: Available to all users who can view reports.
  • Cleanup Policy Setting: Only Admins can configure cleanup policies. You’ll find these settings under Settings → Data Cleanup.
  • Schedule Reports: To schedule reports, users need to have Report Scheduler permissions.

Best Practices

  • Use the Favorites feature to quickly access the reports you use most often. This helps you save time and focus on what matters.
  • Align your report scheduling with your audit or security review cycles. This ensures you have the necessary information available when you need it for compliance and oversight.
  • Before any automatic cleanup policies trigger, make sure to export and archive critical reports. This prevents the loss of historical data that might be needed later.
  • When sharing reports outside your organization, always apply PII (Personally Identifiable Information) masking. This protects sensitive data and helps ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
