Overview
Software Deployment in Zecurit Endpoint Manager allows IT administrators to remotely install, update, or remove applications across all managed endpoints, without physically accessing any device. Whether you are rolling out a new application to the entire organization or pushing a critical update to a specific team, Software Deployment gives you full control over what gets installed, on which devices, and when.
All deployment activity is managed from a single console, giving your IT team visibility into deployment status across every endpoint in real time.
How It Works
Software Deployment in Zecurit follows a simple three-step process:
Step 1 : Create a Package: Upload your application installer to the Software Repository and configure how it should be installed. This creates a reusable package that can be referenced in any deployment.
Step 2 : Create a Deployment Policy: Define the rules for the deployment, what to install, how to run it, when to deploy, and how to handle failures or retries.
Step 3 : Associate the Policy to Groups or Devices: Assign the deployment policy to the target devices or device groups. Once assigned and published, the deployment begins automatically based on the schedule you set.
Key Capabilities
- Silent, zero-touch installation: Software installs in the background without interrupting end users.
- Pre-install checks: Validate disk space, detect existing installations, check registry keys, and verify services before deployment begins.
- Pre/Post configuration: Run custom scripts or terminate conflicting processes before or after installation.
- Flexible scheduling: Deploy immediately or schedule deployments for off-hours to avoid disrupting business operations.
- Automatic retry: If a deployment fails or a device is offline, Zecurit automatically retries based on your configured rules.
- Group and device targeting: Deploy to specific device groups, individual devices, or both simultaneously.
- Real-time monitoring: Track deployment success and failure status for every target device from the console.
