Self-enrollment makes device onboarding simple, particularly for remote or BYOD users, as it doesn’t need an admin to intervene or log into the Zecurit portal.

This method generates a unique, shareable enrollment link that can be sent to end users via email, chat, or internal tools. Users can open the link, download the agent and install it themselves, enabling secure and streamlined device onboarding.

When to use this method

Use self-enrollment when:

  • You want to onboard remote employees or distributed teams
  • You don’t have domain or GPO-based control
  • You need to allow users to enroll their own devices
  • You’re managing BYOD environments or temporary contractors

How to get the Enrollment Link

  • Log in to your Zecurit portal at https://portal.zecurit.com
  • Go to Enrollment → Devices
  • Click the ➕ Add Device button
  • Select Self-Enrollment via Link

You will now see a public, unauthenticated enrollment link.

Enrollment link can be accessed by anyone, no login required.

How to Share the Link

You can share the enrollment link with your users via:

  • Email announcements
  • Internal group chats (e.g., Slack, Teams, WhatsApp)
  • Onboarding guides or IT portals
  • QR codes or intranet links

Tip: Add short instructions alongside the link so users know which agent to choose based on their OS.

What Users See

When end users visit the enrollment link:

  1. They’ll land on a simple public page with options to download the Zecurit agent for Windows, macOS, or Linux
  2. Users choose the appropriate installer for their OS
  3. After installing the agent, their device will automatically appear in your dashboard

No login or authentication is required — it just works.

Is It Secure?

Yes. The enrollment link is:

  • Tied to your specific organization
  • Only allows device registration — no access to portal features
  • Can be rotated or disabled anytime by the admin (coming soon)

Tips for Smooth Enrollment

  • Include clear installation steps when sharing the link.
  • Mention that users need admin rights on their device to install the agent.

What’s Next?

After successful installation:

  • The device appears in your Devices list in Zecurit.
  • Inventory and software details begin syncing.
  • You can assign the device to a group and apply policies.
