What’s a Scheduled Scan?
Scheduled Scanning in Zecurit lets IT administrators automate inventory data collection from managed devices at set times. This keeps your asset database up-to-date without needing any manual work from you.
Why are Scheduled Scans Important?
Scheduling scans is crucial because it:
- Keeps data current: Ensures your hardware, software, certificate and license data is always fresh.
- Detects changes: Automatically spots unauthorized changes across your devices.
- Saves effort: Reduces manual work and makes data collection consistent.
- Aids compliance: Provides regular updates essential for security and compliance audits.
- Supports alerts: Powers policy-based alerting with the very latest inventory information.
Setting up a Scheduled Scan
To schedule a scan, go to Inventory → Schedule Scan and fill in these details:
- Time Zone: Select the appropriate time zone. This ensures the scan triggers at the correct time relative to your region.
- Time: Choose the exact time of day you want the scan to start (e.g., 6:42 PM).
- Frequency: Decide how often the scan should run:
- Email Notification: Add one or more email addresses to get notified about scan success or failure.
